Position Overview

Omnivet is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our dynamic and growing team. This on-site role involves providing expert medical care to companion animals, including diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, performing minor and major surgical procedures, hospitalist care, and educating pet owners on best practices for ongoing care. Our ideal candidate is committed to advancing the standard of veterinary care through cutting-edge medicine, innovation, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based veterinary care for urgent and emergency cases.

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in dogs and cats.

• Perform minor and major surgical procedures and other medical interventions as needed.

• Educate pet owners on treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.

• Collaborate with a dedicated team of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

• Adapt to a rapidly evolving environment as Omnivet continues to expand its services.

• Participate in ongoing continuing education to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.

• Valid Michigan veterinary license (or ability to obtain one).

• Experience in emergency, urgent care, or general practice preferred but not required. 

• Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a diverse caseload effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and work effectively within a team.

• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure in an urgent care and emergency setting.
