Our Midlothian location provides ER, Urgent Care, and Internal Medicine services. This location collaborates with our Richmond location for case transfers and continued specialty care. Our hospital works together to deliver high quality medicine in a casual atmosphere. Our current referral services include boarded specialist in: Surgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Dentistry. Our facilities offer CT, radioactive iodine therapy, and minimally invasive surgery. We are fully equipped for Critical Care including a new ventilator.
Richmond has a wealth of history and has a growing slate of breweries. We were buying fresh and local before you were, our 17th street farmer’s market has been going strong since 1737 and is one of the oldest public markets in the nation! We are the Commander’s stomping ground during the summer, our $2 movies are actually in theaters, Richmond’s wall art is taking over the world, and the mountains are practically right outside our doorstep and so are the beaches. We are known as the River City. The James River Park System covers over 550 acres of shorelines and islands offers much to do, including class IV rapids for an eighth of a mile. We have all the amenities of larger cities, for half the price. The weather is downright agreeable, we get all four seasons and the weather will rarely get in your way.
NVA Overview:NVA is a growing community of general practice clinics, emergency hospitals, equine practices, specialty hospitals, and pet resorts across five countries. Our doctors and pet care teams share best practices, medical knowledge, innovation, and insights. This collaborative approach allows each individual practice and pet resort to do what they do best: service their local community with compassionate, best-in-class care and medicine, to enhance the lives of the animals they love while backed by the support, stability, and leadership of NVA.
Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background.
Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working.
Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals.
As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
