Are you looking for a practice with a great culture? A positive culture with an upbeat family feeling where the doctors and staff support each other and practice medicine with fantastic clients. Our rapidly growing, 14-doctor, 3-location practice is looking to add additional veterinarians. Our award-wining hospitals are equipped and ready to support the highest level of medicine you would like to practice. We would be especially interested in a veterinarian with an interest in either some or all urgent care medicine. Our veterinarians are open-minded, hard-working, collaborative and caring.
Our clientele allows us to practice progressive, high-quality medicine, dentistry and surgery on all species and we have the equipment to support it. In-house blood machines, UA analyzer, high-end digital X-ray and ultrasound, complete soft-tissue and orthopedic surgical equipment and pretty much any other piece of equipment you would need (cautery, laser, thermal imaging camera and more). We perform a lot of surgeries from spay/neuters to ACLs, FHO's, fractures, C-sections, bloats, ophtho, you name it. You would have the opportunity to learn these skills if interested. Our equipment is great, but our culture is matched by none! We work up and manage all difficult medicine cases in house and we also will see any and all emergencies. We maintain great relationships with surrounding practices and rescues. New graduates would have a fantastic opportunity to learn or focus on almost any discipline they are interested in and you always have a voice in our meeting and rounds.
Benefits are solid: fully-paid health insurance, fully-paid short-term disability, PLIT, licensing, CE, exceptional paid time off, 401K, uniforms, paid life insurance, etc. However, the biggest benefit is that you would be working at an awesome place with great people where everyone gets along. Our entire staff is really great and we have a very friendly, relaxed, family-like atmosphere. Our support staff is competent, passionate, well-trained and caring.
The most important thing we are looking for is someone who truly cares about clients and their animals. We go further than the extra mile for our clients, which is what has and will continue to set us apart. Client communication is crucial and we are looking for someone who can effectively read and communicate with any and every type of client who brings in any species of animal. Our hospitals are located in fantastic towns that support our practice (Tolland, Stafford and Ashford). We are right on the edge between suburban and rural living and are located within 20 minutes of anything you like to do for fun.
If you like helping people and animals and you want to work in a fun place that delivers exceptional customer service while still maintaining the best standard of care possible with all the newest equipment and diagnostics, then this is the place for you. We work hard, practice good medicine and when the time is right, we have a ton of fun.
Salary is dependent on experience and abilities, but it's good and there are always opportunities to increase your pay!

The positions are 95% dogs and cats with some exotics (mostly pocket pets and reptiles with a few pet chickens thrown in), but the ideal candidate would have an open mind for treating all species with a zest for continued learning and growth in all disciplines. We would encourage and support your professional interests. All you have to do is work hard and keep trying to become a better veterinarian. You would need to be someone who can balance all the diagnostics and tools we have with the reality of the animal’s situation (our clients love this about us).
Progressive, 14 doctor practice with 3 locations. Focus on customer service and exceptional medical care. Advanced surgery and medicine caseload, lots of new equipment and technology. Great support staff and easy-going but hard-working atmosphere.
