Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital in Granby, CT is seeking a full-time large animal veterinarian with strength and interest in equine, and other large animal wellness, preventative, and emergency medicine.  Part-time may be considered for the right candidate.  Full time would consist of a scheduled 4-day work week, and part time would be a 2-day work week.  Additionally, emergency duties are shared amongst the other large animal veterinarians. 

Nestled in the rolling hills of north-central Connecticut, our privately owned, 10 doctor mixed animal practice focuses on high quality medicine and customer service.  The large animal division is comprised of approximately 85% equine, 5% bovine, with the remaining 10% small ruminants, porcine and camelids.  

We utilize the latest in diagnostic equipment including but not limited to, wireless digital radiology, ultrasonography, video gastroscopy and endoscopy, Shockwave, Pro-Stride,  Laser therapy, Chiropractic, power floating and a fully equipped in-house laboratory.  

Established more than 60 years ago, we are a team-oriented practice located in a great community with outstanding schools and an easy commute to both Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts.  The practice area stretches from the Berkshires in Massachusetts to Long Island Sound.  We are conveniently located between Boston and New York City with easy access to Bradley International airport.

The successful candidate will be provided a fully stocked ambulatory vehicle, assigned a full-time technician and offered a generous benefits package.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  In addition to salary, you will also receive a percentage of your production.  Medical, Liability and Disability insurance is included.  Licenses, AVMA, AAEP, and CVMA dues as well as a competitive continuing education stipend are all paid by Salmon Brook.
