About Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital
Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital is a growing, AAHA-certified, two-three doctor practice that will be expanding its facility with commitments to Fear Free design. The practice focuses on feline, canine, avian, and exotic companion pets. Pluses: your focus on general surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, dermatology, or exotic medicine. Nearby are three specialty practices and three 24-hour critical care centers with which we maintain strong collegial relationships.
The clinic possesses an Oncura ultrasound, Sound digital radiography, Eva-Vet digital dental radiography, multiple intravenous lines to medical cages, anesthesia monitor (SpO2, SpCO2, & ECG/BP/Temp), and advanced surgical & medical pain management. Our in-house lab equipment includes IDEXX blood electrolyte & chemistry and Laser-Cyte hematology instruments, which integrate into the AVImark Office paperless software. All of our in-house communications and medical records (thousands) are electronic.
Many of the experienced support staff are certified in Fear Free techniques. Our veterinary technician staff is lead by a veteran, eight years with us and is completing L.V.T. classes. Of the remaining Veter...inary Technician (VT) staff, three are enrolled in L.V.T. classes, and of the others three are in college, bound for veterinary school. Two of the support staff are Certified Pharmacy Technicians (U.S. and Virginia CPhT). There are five Customer Service Representatives (CSR), one Full-Time groomer, three full-time kennel, plus dozen part-time kennel assistants, all motivated & VT/CSR cross-trained. The clinic has a marketer and a bookkeeper, both Part-Time. Late-night care by an onsite technician allows more advanced, in-hospital cases, which in turn affords better medicine and increased gross revenue.

The Clinic's Motto, “Hometown Hospitality—Modern Medicine,” defines our business culture. Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital boasts an excellent local reputation and very strong client retention, despite a competitive market, this because of our emphasis on the importance of the Doctor—Client—Patient relationship and “total concierge care.” The community’s trust translates into compliant clients with advanced medical and surgical acute care work-ups or chronic case maintenance. Our clients will proceed with advanced treatments and procedures, which fuels our growth. Thus, Stream Valley, like its client base, is stable and successful.
Our medical and business processes have the support of a proactive, personable, and well-trained staff.
