We, at Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort (RRVH&PR), are thrilled to announce that we are looking to welcome a new Associate Veterinarian to our team! Our hospital is located in Norman, OK. Norman is 20 miles south of Oklahoma City, and is a great place to live and work! *Norman, the state's third-largest city, offers small town charm and college town energy as well as the sophisticated eateries, world-class museums and thriving nightlife of much bigger cities. At RRVH&PR, we know that our team is what allows our practice to flourish and prosper. Personal and professional growth and development are of utmost importance, and it is the leadership team’s goal to ensure that we enrich the life of each individual on our team. We believe good communication, continuing education and team-building, are all vital to the success of a team. One of the many things we do to support our beliefs and goals is close the hospital for an hour every Wednesday for team training and development. We also utilize an additional hour for our DVMs (along with some of the leadership team) to collaborate on ideas, changes, and issues needing resolved. We currently have five full-time doctors, thirty support team members and eight leaders in various departments (most of which also function as support team members). Our doctors see a comprehensive and diverse caseload ranging from preventive care to critical emergencies for small animals and exotics. We are open six days a week and we work as a caring, dedicated team to provide full-service veterinary care including examinations, vaccinations, surgery (including laser), dentistry (including dental radiology), endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiology, computerized tomography (CT), full in-house lab (IDEXX), rehabilitation therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic laser, shockwave therapy, stem cell & platelet rich plasma therapy, boarding, and grooming. We strive to provide convenient and compassionate care for our patients. We offer a wide range of benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid continuing education, Paid Time Off (vacation), paid holidays, uniform allowance, VIN membership, national and state dues, as well as all licensing and liability insurance. Our veterinarians offer a wide variety of knowledge and expertise, and they value professional collaboration and comprehensive patient care. This allows for a great mentoring opportunity for doctors just getting started in the profession. At RRVH&PR, one of our core values is to embrace and drive change. We know that our continued success requires us to always be evolving and improving upon our already exceptional level of service. As such, our leadership team is regularly assessing new ideas and services for our patients and clients. We are always striving to improve efficiency in order to provide the best experience possible for everyone that enters our hospital. Our associates are well compensated with a base salary plus commissions based on production. The salaries of our current associates, based on their production, range from $80,000 to $140,000 (not including benefits). However, of even more significance is that our associates have support from everyone in the hospital, including the owner and leadership team at RRVH&PR. We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian that is passionate and determined to help pets and people, enthusiastic about providing the highest level of medicine for our patients and will vow to WOW through service. Veterinary medicine provides a wonderful challenge in that every day presents something new, so it is important to us that our team members are able to “roll with the punches” and adapt when things don’t go according to plan. Additionally, at RRVH&PR, our community matters a lot to us, and we strive to always give back to the community because we care about making a difference. If this sounds like you, please contact us. We would appreciate the opportunity to get to know you and see if you will be the next member of the Rose Rock family! Finally, we want to share one last important point with you. If chosen for the Associate Veterinarian position at our hospital, it will be your mission to provide exceptional care for our patients and outstanding customer service for our clients. Your duties will include patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments; medical and surgical services; patient care; record-keeping; and customer relations. Additional education or interest in exotic pet medicine, acupuncture, or rehabilitation therapy is desired but not required. You must possess an interest in continuing your education through company provided educational opportunities. You must have or be eligible for a veterinary license in the state of Oklahoma and must be able to hold both state and federal narcotics licenses. You must have or be eligible for accreditation through the USDA APHIS to write health certificates for animal transport. Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort is a drug-free workplace.
