OVS is located in Central Nebraska and we are looking for a full-time veterinarian who is comfortable and productive in a busy mixed animal setting. Our practice is well established, progressive, well equipped, in a very nice facility and blessed with a talented staff of six doctors and 14 employees. We service a wide variety of clients including feedlot, cow-calf, companion animals and equine. Individuals should be self-motivated, hardworking and looking to be part of a team oriented practice. We offer a competitive base salary based on experience and provide profit sharing incentives. This job does require an equal shared call schedule with other veterinarians. Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine large and small animals and perform diagnostic tests to determine the cause of illness
Perform routine preventative care for companion and farm animals
Process and exam incoming cattle at feed yards within a team setting to vaccinate and deworm new cattle
Preg check cattle both at feed yards and in a cow-calf setting
Operate medical equipment such as ultrasounds, x-ray machines, etc.
Provide in-field emergency care for livestock
Provide after-hours emergency services on a rotating basis along with 6 other Doctors
