Greater Lansing Veterinary Center (GLVC) is a new emergency hospital, scheduled to open in Fall of 2020. We are seeking full-time and part-time veterinarians to work as members of the emergency service. GLVC will serve the greater Lansing community by providing quality medicine and compassionate care to animals and their families. We strive for a team approach to excel in patient care, and we aim to build a “work family” from the start. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, motivated, proactive, and have strong interpersonal skills both with fellow co-workers as well as clients. GLVC is a completely updated and renovated facility that includes a full-service ICU, comprehensive anesthesia monitoring equipment, in-house laboratory capabilities, and a Cuattro digital radiology system, among many other new equipment and resources. The schedule consists of both day and/or overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as the facility is a 24-hour hospital. Veterinarians will be responsible for evaluating and managing emergency cases, which includes both newly arriving and previously hospitalized patients. In an effort to best serve our community, our team of emergency veterinarians will be trained, encouraged, and supported to perform emergency surgery. Ideally, candidates would have experience in emergency medicine and surgery. Internship training is desired. However, motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Compensation is competitive and includes CE, health insurance, license fees, national/local association dues, PTO, and uniform allowances.
