    State of the art veterinary hospital seeks full time experienced Medical Director/veterinarian in Chico, CA.  Someone with leadership and organizational experience who thrives on making a difference and is ready to move up into the next level of their career.   We are connected with an amazing NO-KILL Shelter, Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue.  In four years, we have adopted out 7,000 animals.  We are the perfect combination of non-profit and for-profit facilities. Chico’s charm is hard to match - home to one of the largest municipal parks in the United States, Chico is ranked as the no.  cycling city in the nation by Bicycle Magazine and one of the top 10 Best Small Art Towns in America. Located just north of Sacramento at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, and just a few hours from San Francisco, Napa, Lake Tahoe, Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. Bidwell Park offers over 3,600 acres of space for outdoor activities and with multiple rivers and lakes just a quick drive away. Chico is home to 3 major colleges.  

    Our hospital:

    -we treat each pet as if it were our own,

    -equipment includes digital whole body and dental x-rays, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment, therapy laser,

    -3 exam rooms, cat room with a separate waiting room, contagious room, 2 iso wards, 2 surgery suites, recovery room,

    -strong staff  (2 RVTs, 2 assistants, strong front office staff) with great team spirit. 

    Our benefits:

    -Compensation: $100-$140K depending on experience, full Cadillac medical benefits, continuing medical education, licenses, and medical dues, moving expenses.
