Timberline Animal Hospital, LLC is hiring an experienced Full Time Associate Veterinarian with excellent communication and leadership skills to fill a position at our rapidly growing and busy small animal veterinary hospital in beautiful Fort Collins, CO. We are a very fast paced full service small animal veterinary hospital with an excellent reputation for developing lasting relationships with our clients and providing exceptional care to our patients.
We are a locally-owned, non-corporate small animal hospital serving dogs, cats, and a few small mammals. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to our patients from annual vaccines and in-house diagnostics to advanced dental procedures, soft tissue surgery, and hospitalization services. We are ready to expand to a multi-doctor practice and are searching for a Full Time Associate Veterinarian with strong skills in leadership, client communication, dentistry, diagnostics, and the ability to supervise hospitalized cases. Excellent time management skills and efficiency are required as we are a very fast-paced hospital with an excellent reputation and we strive to maintain that reputation.
Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of full time work experience in a small animal hospital, excellent communication and diagnostic skills, passion, dedication, and an exceptional work ethic. This is a full time position, with 4 shifts a week and includes Saturdays (no overnights, on call, or Sundays).
Our hospital consists of a relaxing lobby, 4 examination rooms, radiology room, laboratory, pharmacy, large treatment area, surgical suite, two dental stations, and a separate isolation/cat treatment ward.
We offer: Digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, full in-house lab including urinalysis, fecals, cytologies, snap tests, and Heska blood analyzers – (CBC, Chemistry, T4 & Base Cortisol), electrocautery, video otoscope, therapeutic laser, Sevoflurane anesthesia, advanced patient monitoring (ECG, SPO2, ETCO2, BP and Respiration Rate), fully stocked pharmacy, and computerized medical records. We also offer mobile services with boarded surgeons & radiologists and transfer our overnight care to the Fort Collins Emergency Hospital.

We are a very fast paced and busy client centered 1 doctor practice open 6 days a week looking to expand to a multi-doctor practice. We offer a higher than average staff to doctor ratio and our staff is leveraged to make you as efficient and productive as possible. The technical staff keeps the hospital running smoothly and efficiently. They are relied on for obtaining diagnostics, performing treatments, completing the majority of the medical notes, and promoting client education. This allows our doctors to focus spending their time examining patients, interpreting diagnostics, and developing treatment plans. Our associate veterinarians are expected to perform most soft tissue surgeries, perform advanced dental procedures, make good and efficient use of their time during appointments, and create well pet preventative care plans as well as sick pet hospitalization plans.

The Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with the Practice Owner/Medical Director. Primary duties will include preventative care and wellness exams, exams for sick pets, surgery and dental procedures. Our clients expect a veterinarian that has great communication skills, builds rapport with them, is kind and compassionate, presents themselves in a professional image, and is able to make clear diagnostic and treatment recommendations while respecting that care decisions are ultimately the client’s choice.

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
Colorado license in good standing to practice
Minimum of 3 years of full time work experience
