Downtown Pet Hospital is looking to welcome a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to our team! Located on site of the first animal hospital in Orlando, we are nestled next to Lake Ivanhoe in Orlando, servicing multiple communities in the surrounding area. Our current Veterinarians see canine and feline patients and focus heavily on client relationships and preventive care.We offer routine anesthetic procedures such as sex altering, mass removals, and dentistry with digital radiography. We utilize the latest In-House Idexx Laboratory Equipment, SonoScape Ultrasound, Fovea Direct Digital Radiology (with Telemedicine Consultation), C02 Surgical Laser, and new CTX-IQ Companion Therapy Laser.This allows you to provide clients with optimum healthcare for their pet. We are also continuing to implement fear free and stress free protocols as our staff continues to become certified.
Our business hours are 8:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Saturdays we offer clients hours from 8:00am to 12 Noon. We are closed all Sundays.
Ideal candidates understand the benefit of a team environment where we approach pet healthcare as a united front. We offer 30-minute appointments to adequately assess patients, communicate with clients, and record appropriately. We utilize our staff for animal restraint, sample retrieval, anesthetic induction/monitoring, imaging, and client communication. Benefit Package is negotiable upon interview process.
Downtown Pet Hospital first opened in March of 2005, and is built on the location of the first veterinary clinic in Orlando. We have grown tremendously since then and are looking to add another veterinarian to our team! Our hospital amenities include Idexx In-house Lab suite including CBC (Catalyst One), Chemistry (VetLab), and Urinalysis (SediVue), Aesculight Laser Surgery, SonoScape Ultrasound, new CTX-IQ Companion Therapy Laser, Direct Digital Radiography (Fovea), Dentistry (with Digital Radiography), a well stocked pharmacy, and boarding facilities. We have a functional treatment area, where we can monitor intensive care and post-operative patients, as well as performing needed treatments. Surgeries & treatments offered include dental prophylaxis, spaying & neutering, fluid therapy, mass removals, as well as other soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
