The right candidate will have substantial knowledge of basic clerical duties, data/administrative procedures, business management and inventory, strong organizational planning skills, excellent time management, the ability to prioritize work and multi-task, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to effectively work within client management software.
A strong background in human resources management is necessary, with excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication. The candidate will have proven experience working independently, within a team, and with various stakeholders, as well as delegating tasks and maintaining overall office efficiency. The ability to adapt, suggest improvements, and implement process changes are crucial.
Knowledge of or prior experience in a veterinary medical setting is not required, but strongly preferred.
Essential tasks include monitoring and purchasing inventory, marketing, coordinating with outside company representatives, handling accounts receivable, resolving client inquiries and complaints, assessing daily and period clinic financial information, and assuming other responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Additional responsibilities include assigning and monitoring office staff administrative and clerical tasks, establishing and maintaining record keeping procedures, overseeing and analyzing office policies, procedures, and processes, coordinating staff schedules. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting, evaluating, managing, mentoring, and disciplining office staff, as well as creating and maintaining a safe and enjoyable working environment.
This is a permanent, full time position. Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays off, a flexible schedule, and vacation/sick time. Pay is commensurate with experience.
