Are you looking for a change? Friendly, family environment. We strive to make things as low stress as possible. Great support staff, caring client coordinators, whose goal is to schedule appointments to ease work flow and give appropriate time for working up cases. Away from work activities such as: BBQ's, birthday parties, bowling-pizza parties, parade participants, bingo nights, charity events, and pumpkin carving parties (you get the picture), are all fun activities that strengthen the bonds of friendship with fellow co-workers.
That being said, we are looking for a FT associate veterinarian for a well established (over 45 yrs.) three doctor small animal practice, conveniently located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The area offers plenty of opportunities for entertainment and shopping as well as outdoor sports: biking, hiking, boating and fishing.
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills and a positive attitude to join our team. Did we mention, you should like to have fun? Medical experience and good surgical skills are a plus, however, we encourage new graduates to apply, as we will assess the whole package. The doctors and technicians will be more than happy to mentor a recent grad to acclimate them to the world of veterinary medicine out of vet school. Someone who is willing to learn the ropes of professional practice will be met with the mentorship of over 62 cumulative years of veterinary experience. We encourage a team approach to both challenging cases as well as the everyday flow of business.
We serve clients from a tri-county area, focusing on dogs, cats, and some exotics to a limited extent, but if exotics are your thing, go for it, we will support you where we can. As an extra service to our clients we also offer house calls M-F in the mornings. This often provides an interesting change of pace and some unforgettable stories! Our associate veterinarians average 33-34 hrs. per week, with ample time off. After hour emergencies are handled by nearby emergency clinics. We believe a good balance of work and personal time is needed for a healthy mind and body.
Our well-equipped and newly remodeled hospital operates on Cornerstone practice management system. Most medical equipment is new (within the past 2 yrs) including: digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, heated surgical table and LED surgical lights, two new anesthetic machines, Bose sound system for your listening pleasure in surgery, ophthalmoscopes, otoscopes, 2 blood pressure monitors, microscope, centrifuge and patient monitors. We also have a Companion therapeutic laser, complete Idexx in-house lab, high speed dental unit and tonometry.

Our mission is to provide the highest level of veterinary care and customer service possible, including community outreach activities and education programs for adults and children. We have also, as a team, recently embarked on FEAR-FREE CERTIFICATION process for all employees.
