About Northstar Animal Care & Upper Arlington Vet. Hospital
Our mission is to provide service and education to families and their pets in our community by offering high quality veterinary care with compassion, experience, and advanced medicine.
Upper Arlington Veterinary Hospital and Northstar Animal Care are both owned by Drs. Adam and Joanna Parson. Although they are two separate locations about one mile apart, they are unified as one family owned ...small animal practice that serves the Tri-Village area. Therefore patients are able to be seen in a timely manner at either location and emergencies are usually accommodated during business hours. Our staff is cross trained at both facilities and are always available to answer any questions regarding your pet during business hours. For clients who are unable to make an appointment due to scheduling conflicts, owners may drop off their pet (by appointment) on a weekday morning for an exam and appropriate treatment by a veterinarian. The client will then be notified and may pick up their loved one before the close of business hours.
We are unique in our community in that we are able to offer routine veterinary care as well as referral level medicine in most cases due to our previous training at a specialty facility, our diagnostics/equipment, and our ability to hospitalize patients overnight with the assistance of our on-call technicians. Our veterinarians reside locally and will make themselves available to patients when needed during evening/weekend hours of hospitalization. In the event that a patient cannot be stabilized or needs advanced imaging/treatment given by a specialist we will refer to Medvet or Ohio State.
We pledge to participate in continuing education and advanced training for our veterinarians and medical staff in order to provide the highest level of veterinary standards and ethics. We are also blessed with a fantastic team that truly love what they do everyday.
